Seeking Him
His glory:
confess all known sins, put away all doubtful things and forgive everyone, obey the Holy Spirits promptings, publicly confess Christ is your savior
God wants 2 things submission and obedience
Humility-pride is opposite of humility--recognizing oneself as a sinner before the holy God. an awareness of God's holiness drives us to acknowledge our sin and receive God's forgiveness
Honesty-Whoever conceals his trangressions will not prosper but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy
Repentence-God faithfully gives us opportunity to repent we must be honest and open about our sin silence only condemns by keeping us guilty repentence is not an option it is a requirement must see a change in behavior
Grace-before sin becomes an act it is a thought-- need to call out to God for help
we are utterly dependent on His grace to live a Christian life
Holiness-having a heart like His. Set apart. He commands us to be holy, he will not command us to do something he will not enable us to do
Obedience-primary concern is us being right with Him, it is a positive active response to listening to the word of God, it is foundational to the Christian life, actions speak louder than words, partial obedience is disobedience each act of disobedience is a step away from God

Roaring Lambs
Christians should lead a fully intergrated life
We must put our own desires, goals, motives, and plans aside in favor of Gods direction.
Devote yourself to prayer- than act
The current church is almost a nonentity when it comes to shaping culture
If we want to point someone to the Savior I need to make sure my professional behavior is stellar.
Our world instead of running from it we need to rush into it. And instead of just hanging around the fringes of our culture we need to be right smack dab in the middle of it
We have a Shepard we can trust fully, so we really ought to be out there on the front lines of battle for the cause of the gospel. Be the salt of society.
The salt Jesus has in mind is stinging, biting, cleansing, and preserving and is anything but dull, anything but tame. To be the kind of salt Jesus spoke about is to be on the cutting edge, in the fray, at the forefront of the battle.
Once we accept Him into our lives we are automatically the salt of the earth.
Number one way to be the salt- teach His relevance, to demonstrate His relevance, and to live His relevance in every part of our lives.
Salt retards spoilage it doesnt prevent it, It slows decay , it doesnt stop it
When Christians carp,criticize, and complain but offer no alternatives, the world rolls its eyes.
We need to act as a purifying agent to hinder the spread of evil. Best way to stop evil is to replace it with something good
write letters to the editor, correct errors
Be a presence in american public life

express your opinion
dont waste money on boycotting--proclaim dont protest

One step at a time
If God wants you to go someplace, He will give you the desire to do so.
God gives His followers the desire and drive to follow His divine plan for their lives.
Knowing God's will is a journey.
As we rest in God and trust Him to guide us, He will reveal His plan one step at a time, one day at a time.
It is very important that we familiarize ourselfs with the bible. God will never lead us to disobey His word.
We need to wait patiently on the Lord and listen for the inner prompting of the Holy Spirit.

Blessed Hope
Scripture is clear, that while awaiting the resurection of the body, we enjoy the conscious presence with the Lord. For us this is the end time. Its our last generation, because this is the only generation we have as individuals

Together with the LORD

VICTORY OVER DARKNESS
* PEOPLE RESOLVE THEIR PERSONAL AND SPIRITUAL CONFLICTS THROUGH GENUINE REPENTANCE BY SUBMITTING TO GOD AND RESISTING THE DEVIL.
*nobody can solve your problems but you. You alone must initiate and follow through the process.
WHO ARE YOU? Who are you in Christ as a child of God? External appearance, accomplishment and recognition don't necessarily reflect or produce internal peace and maturity. When God created Eve He established human community, a meaningful open sharing relationship with one another. At the fall Adam and Eve lost their true perception of reality and the idea of knowing was no linger relational--they tried to hide from God who is omnipresent.
After fall attributes became needs: acceptance was replaced by rejection=we have a need to belong. Innocence was replaced by guilt and shame=need for legitimate sense of worth has to be restored
Dominion was replaced by weakness and helplessness= we have a need for strength and self-control
Who am I in Christ? I AM ACCEPTED Gods child, Christs friend, justified,one spirit with the lord, belong to God, member of Christs body, a saint, adopted as Gods child, have direct access to God through the Holy spirit, have been redeemed and forgiven, complete in Christ, I AM SECURE free from condemnation, assured that all things work together for the good, cannot be separated from Gods love, been established anointed and sealed by God, confident in the good work God has begun in me will be perfected, am a citizen of heaven, hidden with Christ in God, have not been given a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind, can find grace and mercy in time of need, born of God and the evil one cannot touch me I AM SIGNIFICANT
I am the salt of the earth, branch of the true vine, chosen, personal witness of Christ, Gods temple, minister of reconciliation for God, Gods coworker, seated with Christ in the heavenly realm, Gods workmanship, may approach God with freedom and confidence, can do all things in Christ who gives me strength
THE WHOLE GOSPEL It is not what you do as a Christian that determines who you are, it is who you are that determines what you do. I am not the great I Am but by the grace of God I am what I am
SEE YOURSELF FOR WHO YOU REALLY ARE
Getting right with each other begins with getting right with God. Getting right with God always begins with settling once and for all the fact that God is your loving father and you are His accepted child. SINCE I AM IN CHRIST THROUGH THE GRACE OF GOD I have been justified, died with Christ and died to the power of sins rule over my life, am free forever from condemnation, have been placed into Christ by Gods doing, have received the Spirit of God into my life that I might know the things freely given to me by God, have been given the mind of Christ, have been bought with a price, am not my own I belong to God, have been established anointed and sealed by God in Christ and have been given the Holy Spirit as a pledge guaranteeing our inheritance to come, since i have died I no longer live for myself but for Christ, have been made righteous, have been crucified with Christ and it is no linger I who live but Christ who lives in me, have been blessed with every spiritual blessing, was chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and am without blame before Him, predestined to be adopted as Gods son, redeemed and forgiven, made alive together with Christ , been raised up and seated with Christ in heaven, have direct access to God through the spirit, may approach God with boldness, freedom, and confidence, have been rescued from the domain of Satan's rule and transferred to the kingdom of Christ, have been redeemed and forgiven of all my sins, the debt against me has been cancelled, Christ Himself is in me, I am firmly rooted in Christ and am now being built in Him, I have been spiritually circumcised, have been buried raised and made alive in Christ I died with Christ and I have been raised up with Christ, have been given a spirit of power, love, and self discipline, have been saved and set apart according to Gods doing, I am sancified and am one with the Sanctifier, He is not ashamed to call me brother, I have the right to boldly come before the throne of God to find mercy and grace in time of need, I have been given exceedingly great and precious promises by God by which I am a partaker of Gods divine nature
OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD IS BASED ON THE BLOOD OF CHRIST. WE ARE SAVED BY HOW WE BELIEVE, NOT BY HOW WE BEHAVE.
Others we treat people is how we perceive them. We affect others significantly by what we say about them and what we say is determined by what we believe about them.
EPH 4:29 "let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, that it may give grace to those who hear"
BEING A SAINT PROVIDES THE BASIS FOR HOPE AND FUTURE GROWTH.I am a saint by the grace of God. Believing every thing does not make it true, God said it is true, therefore we believe.
SPIRIT FILLED WALK ACTS adoration, confession, thanksgiving, supplication
Prayer is a 2 way communication that requires listening as well as petitioning.
Freedom does not lie in exercising of choice, it ultimately lies in the consequences of those choices.
POWER IS IN BELIEVING THE TRUTH. faith is the basis for our salvation and the means by which we live. The critical issue is in what you believe and who you believe in.

YOU CANT LIVE BEYOND WHAT YOU BELIEVE
your walk is directed by what you believe. God does not assign you goals you cant achieve. When you begin to align your goals with Gods goals and your desires with Gods desires, you will rid your life of a lot of anger, anxiety, and depression.
Trials and tribulations reveal wrong goals, but they can actually be the catalyst for achieving Gods goal for our lives, which is our sanctification.
GODS GUIDELINES
Success is accepting Gods goal for our lives and his grace becoming what He has called us to be. What is remembered for eternity is of great significance. Use our gifts and talents to edify others and to glorify God. Live righteous. Be happy with what you have. Gods peace is internal not external.
Beliefs and attitudes are first formed in our minds. You are responsible for the actions you take.

FORGIVNESS: REQUIRED BY GOD
means never use the past against us, resolving to live with the consequences of anothers sin. It sets us free and lets us heal

3. understand the significance of the cross
4. decide not to retaliate
5. decide to forgive
6. pray

8. dont expect forgiveness will result in major changes in the other person

Myth- God is unreasonable He gave all to Adam and Eve but asked 1 thing of them
God is a compassionant father he puts limits on us because He loves us, all we
have is a gift from God, He wants us to enjoy the gifts not abuse them
Myth- God is unreliable if we are tempted we have doubt and are deceived, we reap
what we sow. God is consistant his love never changes
Myth- God is unconcerned with me satan makes you feel like God doesnt care, God
wants a relationship with me
